# Meshy 7 Retexture API

> Meshy 7 version of 3D retexturing: new look from a prompt or style image, with optional PBR output

Retextures a supplied 3D file (.glb, .gltf, .obj, .fbx, .stl) using either a text description of up to 600 characters or a 2D style image; the image takes precedence when both are sent. Base color resolution is 2k, 4k or 8k, and at 8k the PBR maps drop to 4k with no emission map. Set `enable_original_uv` to keep existing UVs, and `enable_pbr` to get metallic, roughness and normal maps. Returns GLB plus other formats and texture files.

## Pricing

Price: **from $0.30 / request** (the lowest tier; the quote prices your exact input). Billed once per request.

Price rules (the first rule that matches the input wins; a parameter you leave out counts as its default):

- When `texture_resolution` = 8k: $0.45 (450 API credits) / request

The full example input below costs $0.30 = 300 API credits (1 request × 300 API credits).

Prices are the upstream price in USD, paid from the API balance in API credits (1000 API credits = 1 USD). `POST https://api.doitong.com/v1/quote/meshy/v7/retexture` with the same JSON body returns the exact price for that input; the quote is exactly what a run charges. Invalid input is never charged and failed or canceled requests are refunded automatically.

## Run it

Set `DOITONG_API_KEY` to a key from https://doitong.com/developers/dashboard#keys. `?wait=20` returns the finished request in the same call when it is ready within 20 seconds; otherwise poll `GET /requests/{id}` (it also accepts `?wait=`), or pass `webhook_url`.

## Response

Every call returns a request object. `status` is one of `queued`, `running`, `succeeded`, `failed`, `canceled`. `outputs` lists the generated files with URLs on our storage (kept forever, or 7 days with `?storage=temporary`; `storage` says which); `output` is the model's own result object with the same URLs.
