NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced a major AI infrastructure deal with Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, committing to sell more than 18,000 of its most advanced Blackwell GB300 chips to Humain, a new AI company owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).
The announcement came during a White House-led business delegation to Riyadh that included President Donald Trump and numerous American CEOs. The visit resulted in Saudi Arabia pledging $600 billion in investments to U.S. companies, with the NVIDIA partnership representing one of the most significant technology deals.
The initial deployment will power a massive 500-megawatt AI data center in Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand to 'several hundred thousand' NVIDIA GPUs over the next five years. These advanced Blackwell chips, which feature 208 billion transistors and were only officially announced earlier this year, represent NVIDIA's most powerful AI computing technology.
Humain, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and led by CEO Tareq Amin, was launched just days before the deal's announcement. The company aims to develop a comprehensive AI ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, including data centers, cloud infrastructure, and advanced AI models - notably developing one of the world's most powerful Arabic large language models.
"Our partnership with NVIDIA is a bold step forward in realizing the Kingdom's ambitions to lead in AI and advanced digital infrastructure," said Amin. "Together, we are building the capacity, capability and a new globally enabled community to shape a future powered by intelligent technology."
The deal underscores Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 strategy to diversify its economy beyond oil, with technology and AI as key focus areas. It also highlights NVIDIA's continued dominance in the global AI chip market, with countries worldwide competing for access to its advanced semiconductor technology.
AMD also announced a separate $10 billion collaboration with Humain to deploy additional AI computing infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, further cementing the kingdom's ambitions to become a major global AI hub.
