Google has introduced its most exclusive AI offering to date with the launch of Google AI Ultra, a premium subscription service that provides unprecedented access to the company's most powerful AI technologies.
Priced at $249.99 per month, the Ultra plan positions itself as a "VIP pass" to Google's AI ecosystem, targeting professionals who require the absolute cutting edge in artificial intelligence capabilities. The subscription includes access to Google's most advanced models and significantly higher usage limits compared to other tiers.
The Ultra package features several standout components. Subscribers gain exclusive access to Veo 3, Google's state-of-the-art video generation model that can create videos with integrated sound effects, ambient noise, and character dialogue. The plan also includes early access to Gemini 2.5 Pro DeepThink, an enhanced reasoning mode that can evaluate multiple solution paths before generating answers—particularly valuable for complex math and coding tasks.
Other premium features include Flow, an AI filmmaking tool that enables the creation of cinematic scenes with advanced camera controls and 1080p video generation; Project Mariner, an agent research prototype that can manage up to 10 tasks simultaneously; and a massive 30 terabytes of cloud storage. The subscription also bundles a YouTube Premium membership at no additional cost.
In conjunction with the Ultra launch, Google announced that its existing AI Premium plan has been renamed Google AI Pro ($19.99/month) and now includes additional features like Flow with Veo 2 video generation and early access to Gemini in Chrome. The company is also expanding its educational initiative, offering free access to Google AI Pro for university students in the United States, Japan, Brazil, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom through finals in 2026.
Google AI Ultra is currently available in the United States, with plans to expand to more than 70 countries in the coming months. New subscribers can take advantage of a 50% discount for the first three months.
