As a 2024 MAD (Morningside Academy for Design) Fellow affiliated with the MIT Media Lab, Morris designs digital learning platforms that make room for the social dynamics that influence how people learn and engage with educational content.

Morris draws on her interdisciplinary background in design, psychology, and community learning to study how social interactions shape learning outcomes in digital and AI-assisted education. Her work effectively bridges design, education, and technology fields. By combining observational skills with active community engagement, she works at the intersection of technology, education, and human connection to improve digital learning platforms.

This approach represents a significant evolution in educational technology. While many current AI learning platforms focus primarily on content delivery and assessment, MIT's approach recognizes that effective learning is inherently social. Modern competitive learning management systems are increasingly leveraging data science to enhance learning and development practices as machine learning evolves. These systems incorporate AI training tools with no-code development capabilities, making course creation more approachable for non-technical users while ensuring content remains current and relevant.
