Unify, a San Francisco-based AI-native platform transforming go-to-market operations, has secured $40 million in Series B funding to revolutionize how companies approach sales in an increasingly noisy digital landscape.
The funding round was led by Battery Ventures, with participation from OpenAI Startup Fund, Thrive Capital, Emergence Capital, Abstract Ventures, The Cannon Project, and Capital49. This investment comes just nine months after the company raised $12 million in Series A funding, bringing Unify's total funding to approximately $70 million since its founding in 2023.
Unify's platform tackles a persistent challenge in B2B growth by integrating real-time buyer signals with automated outbound workflows. The system leverages artificial intelligence to analyze website activity, profile changes, and engagement behavior to identify high-potential prospects. Its core offering, called "Plays," combines prospect identification, data enrichment, AI-driven research, message personalization, and multi-channel outreach into unified workflows.
"In today's extremely competitive sales environment, distribution has become the barrier to success," said Austin Hughes, Unify's co-founder and CEO. "We believe growth should be a science, not an art. Unify turns growth into a repeatable, scalable motion, combining real-time intent signals with AI agents to run powerful workflows that scale creative sales tactics."
The company has experienced remarkable growth, with revenue increasing eight times over the past year. Customers including Airwallex, Cursor, Perplexity, and Together AI use Unify to bring intelligence and scale to their outbound sales efforts, collectively generating hundreds of millions of dollars in sales pipeline through the platform.
As part of the investment, Battery Ventures General Partner Dharmesh Thakker has joined Unify's board. The company plans to use the new funding to expand operations, accelerate product development, and continue transforming go-to-market operations into what Hughes calls "a repeatable science." In a market where traditional cold outreach is increasingly ineffective, Unify's approach to AI-powered "warm outbound" messaging represents a significant evolution in sales technology.
