This is the counter-intuitive part, and it is worth checking before you pay for the more expensive tier. Seedream 5 Pro has an output area ceiling of roughly 4.19 megapixels. On square and near-square ratios that ceiling never binds, so Lite and Pro return identical dimensions: 2048×2048 at 1:1, 2304×1728 at 4:3, 2496×1664 at 3:2, and the mirrored portrait sizes. On wide frames it does bind. At 16:9, Lite returns 2848×1600 and Pro returns 2720×1536 — 378,880 pixels fewer, 8.31%. The same gap applies at 9:16. At 21:9, Lite returns 3136×1344 and Pro 3072×1312, a gap of 184,320 pixels, 4.37%. So on those three ratios the 338- or 675-credit tier hands back a lower-resolution image than the 100-credit tier.

Seedream 5 Pro sits in between at 338 credits for 1K and 675 for 2K, so the full ladder runs 100, 338, 675, 750. The flat rate is the unusual part: pricing on Doitong normally scales with resolution — GPT Image 2 goes 300, 500 and 800 credits for 1K, 2K and 4K — and Nano Banana Pro does not. One Nano Banana Pro image costs the same as seven Seedream 5 Lite images, with 50 credits left over. If your workflow is generate-twenty-pick-one, that ratio is the decision.
What each model actually outputs
Nano Banana Pro accepts three resolution steps — 1K, 2K and 4K — and the price does not move between them. Seedream 5 works differently: Lite is billed at a single 100 credits regardless of the resolution you request, and each aspect ratio has a fixed pixel size. The 1:1 frame is 2048×2048, the 4:3 frame is 2304×1728, the 16:9 frame is 2848×1600. The default tier is Lite and the default size is 2048×2048; the Pro 1K default is 1024×1024. Seedream 5 Pro exposes a 1K step at 338 credits and a 2K step at 675. There is no 4K tier on Seedream 5, so if your deliverable has to be 4K the choice is made for you.

Limits
Only two Seedream 5 tiers exist here, Lite and Pro. Earlier Seedream versions are not generatable; you may see them as labels on work created previously, which is metadata on old output rather than a model you can select. Seedream 5 has no 4K step. Nano Banana Pro has no cheap tier — every draft costs the same 750 as the frame you keep. If you want a third price shape, GPT Image 2 charges 300, 500 and 800 credits for 1K, 2K and 4K, but its 4K tier is unreachable at 1:1, where the ceiling is 2K, and a request above the ceiling is quietly downscaled rather than rejected.
