Establishing reference photograph of a place: Extreme wide high crane angle over a desolate frozen metropolis. Skeletal steel skyscrapers choked by massive snowdrifts, dark empty windows, icicles hanging from ledges, faint steam from street vents. A wide avenue leads to center, abandoned cars buried to their roofs, a rusted bus half-submerged in snow. Heavy vertical sheets of falling snow obscure the horizon under an overcast cold blue-grey sky. Monochrome greys and whites, silent and dead. Photorealistic, anamorphic, shallow depth of field, real snow and frost, practical light. No people, no text.
