The next key frame of the same shot as image 1, in exactly the same drawing style, with exactly the same camera, framing, door, tree, wall lantern, lamppost, hail and grey light, and the same three characters. A moment later the old lady has lowered her handbag and huddles happily next to the little girl, both of them dry and safe under the open black umbrella, which the man holds out over them both at arm's length. He himself stands outside the umbrella in the pouring hail: hailstones bounce off the top of his head and his shoulders with little sparkles, but his face is perfectly stony and calm, eyes half closed, the charred stem still in his other hand. Each person has exactly two arms and two hands. No text, no letters.
